The forecast for June 2023 expects significant water deficits for the 12-month period of March 2023 through February 2024 in much of South America, central and southern Africa, and much of Canada’s provinces. Areas expected to experience surplus include the southwestern and western United States, western South Asia, and various areas of Russia. This Watch List is based on ISciences Water Security Indicator Model v2 (WSIMv2) 7 June 2023.
